PREGNANCY AND POSTNATAL

During pregnancy, a combination of hormones and change in body shape, place increased stresses on the body – especially the back, pelvis and pelvic floor.

After having a baby, your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles are often stretched and weak – regardless of whether you had a vaginal delivery or a C-Section. This, combined with the demands of motherhood, can often cause pain and injuries.

The good news is, relief is just an appointment away.

PELVIC FLOOR

PELVIC FLOOR

Alice Adamson Physio provides assessment and treatment of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, which may arise as a result of surgery (particularly urogynaecological and bowel surgery), poor exercise technique, back injuries, pregnancy and childbirth.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles which are located at the bottom of the pelvis. They have many roles which involve supporting pelvic organs, maintaining urinary and faecal continence and assisting in core stability.

The good news is, relief is just an appointment away.
